It has Finished!

This time around I am trying to run a consistent theme throughout the month looking at the four classical elements. I actually did a bit of research too so hopefully some of the ideas I have found come through the words.

I haven't written haiku in a while so very rusty, all help throughout this month genuinely welcome!

Day 1- for/four
Day 2- Gaia- the greek goddess of the Earth
Day 3- Sylph- Air elemental
Day 4- Tale of Prometheus
Day 5- It's raining in July!
Day 6- slightly personal, but still Virgo is an Earth sign and is related to stability.
Day 7- Listening to classical music.
Day 8- Salamanders- fire creatures
Day 9- Water is represented by an Eagle in ceremonial magic
Day 10- Pentacles are the pagan symbol for the earth.
Day 11- Spiritual father- air
Day 12- Vulcan is the roman god of fire, Venus was his wife.
Day 13- Scorpio is a water sign and symbolises sexuality
Day 14- So hot in Derby of all places!
Day 15- observation
Day 16- Looking into a fire
Day 17- This is funny one. There is this hair die advert where a woman looks all icy and bitchy at another woman who she doesn't think is god enough to shop in her shop!
Day 18- The Wii fit is evil. (Earth symbolised balance)
Day 19- observation
Day 20- Saggitarius is a fire sign. bit of an obvious image I know.
Day 21- Inspired by a picture I saw in a café
Day 22- Goblins are earthy creatures
Day 23- We need a thunderstorm!
Day 24- Bombings all over the world. One voice.
Day 25- The moon breathes.
Day26- Nature and sex combine
Day27- If you don't feature a cat somewhere, it isn't a haikuwrimo!
Day28- For ever, man has been intrigued and facinated by fire.
Day29- Sunshine on water
Day30- Bringing the theme together.
Day31- I can't explain yet, but it's to do with 8.
The real 31- A proper ending

I am in a spinning typhoon of science and I think I like it!

Very nice Becca! this haiku is a beautiful and unique start to the wrimo. I love when I see pieces that push the boundaries of subject matter in haiku. Your brevity is also excellent here. A very concise but vivid work :D
:iconaqua-rat:
This echoes what I recently read in a friends journal about Plato's ideas about the joining of two separate beings.

THIS IS THE GATE OF HEAVEN. ENTER YE ALL BY THIS DOOR. (This door is kept locked because of the draught - please use side door.)
:iconbeccalicious:
Actually from what I have been reading up on the classical elements, Plato features quite a bit, so maybe that is where the link comes from? :)

Seriosuly though coming from you and knowing your experience in Eastern poetry, I am very complimented, thank you

I love Haiku! :3 I'm really bad at literature commenting because all I can say is I love it or I don't. :( I hope you don't mind my pathetic comments. :cling:

Lyme Disease: Do you know about it? Probably not, so read this and learn what you can do to spread the word.
Are you CFS aware?
:iconbeccalicious:
That's okay, it is like me commenting on something digital or a drawing etc, it usually lies with whether or not I like it!

Stay tuned, there is a month worth to come!
