I love the pop of blue - it really stands out without being too much and it looks nice with the gray tones of the rest of the piece. Plus, I have to admit, blue is my favorite color and it's unique to see a blue one rather than a yellow one. I love the depth of focus you have, though I think it might be more interesting if it were smaller and thus bringing more emphasis on the duck, particularly his face. The texture of the surface he is on is really nice. It adds interest to the piece without it being a distraction. One thing that unfortunately did stand out a little too much is the background that's almost white. First off, it made me notice that there is not white in this piece, which is okay but might have been nice to have on the lightest parts of the duck to add to the lighting you have. Secondly, I think it may distract from the duck. It's hard to tell without being able to compare it too, but I wonder if a gray color darker than the surface the duck is on would be nice (such as the colors of that crack or whatever it is) or maybe a dark gray like the color of his eyes. It's really hard to tell though, so that would be more of a suggestion of experimenting I suppose. Overall, awesome piece, creating something simple and ordinary into an interesting photo and nice composition as well.
