There are many Deviants I love, but if I discussed every one of them here, I'd flood the comments section. As such, I'll stick to a few who I feel have gone above and beyond as friends or as fellow artists.
arctoa enlightened me to my conceptual style of photography; I mistakenly thought it was abstract, for a lack of knowing how else to classify it. He was the first person here to respond to my work, and I have a lot of respect for him as a person and artist.
TristanCody was the first person here to respond to my literature, and his feedback, appreciation, and understanding brought sunshine to some very dark days in my world.
TheGalleryOfEve and Fan-Gogh believed in my poetry, songwriting, and photography and gave me my first interview last spring with Opinionshare, which got me off the ground in this community. I am continually wowed by their kindnesses to others in the community.
Nichrysalis gave me my first DD last June and, this May, also directed seventeen other amazing writers, both friends and strangers, in writing a collaborative poem for me, as encouragement during a particularly rough period of vision loss. Nic has been a wonderful friend to me, too, and I admire his compassion for and constant outreach to the community.
ToySkunk was a kind stranger at the time I reached out to others on the forums with questions about a printing project, but I now consider her a friend. She was so patient in helping and teaching me and so awesome at describing everything. What started out being a stressful endeavor turned out to be exciting.
